If you are running a volunteering program with your employees then there are more than a few things you need to do and say to them to be thankful for their volunteer work. Ask help from your managers and team leaders as it is going to be a lot of work!
1. Join Hands With Them
When you see them distributing food, clothes, shoes, books, lend a hand and give some things out yourself. If you are on a tree planting spree take turns to plough and plant a sapling.
This acts will remove the unnecessary the hierarchy you and your employees and you will find them enthralled with a new kind of energy.
2. Make Them Feel Heard
After the volunteering work has been done team up with the team leader and have a talk with all your employees. Ask them for feedback, on how to get more from the volunteering opportunities in the future. More importantly, ask them how they feel doing an altruistic deed, why do they think it was or wasn’t necessary and listen to what they have to say.
Not only this will help you get better at volunteering in future, but it will promote dialogue and goodness in the workspace.
3. Share The Word Of Their Goodness
